frequent questions
Below are the most frequently asked questions that our clients ask us. But do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I will be delighted to help you.
What is micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation or permanent makeup is a service indicated to enhance or restore the natural beauty and harmony of the face, regardless of age or sex. Each person is different, just as there are different skin types, and each treatment is personalized to the needs and particular conditions of each client.
Is the result natural?
We work with different techniques and the goal is to perform the treatment that best suits your needs to achieve the most natural result possible. In the case of eyes or lips, we can do a treatment with a more make-up effect, the result will always be more subtle than conventional make-up. Micropigmentation does not limit you in any way to enhance your makeup.
What is the difference between micropigmentation and microblading?
The big difference between these two techniques is that microblading is a manual technique, in which a blade is used to implant the pigment in the skin, while in micropigmentation, we use a machine, like a tattoo machine but more adapted to the areas we treat. The final result also varies, as well as the duration of the treatment, microblading generally has a shorter life.
Duration of the session and how many sessions are needed to complete the treatment?
The treatment consists of a 1st appointment where we assess the area to be treated, skin, and technique to be used and perform the allergy test (30min). In the 2nd appointment we perform the treatment, from 2 to 3 hours depending on the area to be treated. 3rd appointment, maximum duration 1h 30 min to assess the work healed and retouch what is necessary.
How long is the treatment?
The duration of the treatment depends very much on the area to be treated, the type of skin, the color of the pigment and the habits of the person, for example, excessive sunbathing.
The approximate range is from 1 to 4 years depending on the multiple factors mentioned above. In the first visit in which we make the diagnosis, we advise you more specifically knowing the area you want to treat, seeing your skin type, etc.
How often is maintenance required?
As the duration is variable, the reviews are also variable, ranging from 1-2 years.
Is it possible to do the treatment during or after chemotherapy?
In cases of active diseases and/or medications, as in the case of chemotherapy treatments, we will always need the assessment and consent of the physician in order to carry out the treatment.
If I want to correct an old micropigmentation, can I cover it up with a new treatment?
No, when they are old works and from other professionals, we could only work on top in the case that we only have a very subtle remainder of pigment. If the previous treatment is still intense and also derived to unwanted color, we proceed to laser removal before performing the new procedure. This is the only way to achieve a beautiful and natural result.
